Hiking in Imlil - Marrakech – Imlil Valley (1740m) – Tizi N'tamatert pass (2400m)- Tinghrin Village - Imnane Valley & River - Tizi Nouguersioual pass (1850m) - Ghighaya River - Marrakech

At 8:00 am, depart from Marrakech towards Imlil (1740m), the starting point of this trek, where you’ll meet our team at 9:30 am after a 1.5-hour drive. Begin the hike towards the Imnane Valley, crossing the Tizi n'Tamaterte pass (2279m), which offers panoramic views over two valleys: Imlil and Imnane. Descend to the village of Tinghrine and enjoy lunch by the river. After lunch, follow the river, passing through several Berber villages and terraced landscapes. Arrive at the village of Ikiss, then turn left to cross the Aguerssioual mountain pass (1900m). Finally, descend to the valley, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to Marrakech.

Ourika Valley - Camel Ride, Berber Villages, Market Day, Waterfalls

Enjoy a drive from Marrakech to Ourika Valley. Visit a Berber village and drink mint tea with the locals in one of the traditional Berber houses.

Monday is a market day in Asni, stop and have a walk around to see what you can find! Lunch in one of the restaurants by the riverside. (Lunch is not included). A short camel ride is included.

 

Visit the waterfalls with a local guide.

 

We can add bread making to the trip with the local women and if we are lucky, you may be able to see how they weave carpets if they have the looms set up. We will try!

 

(It’s a go with the flow kinda day, super chilled and not a fixed time to do anything! You can decide what you like and how long you want in each place.)

Private Marrakech Walking Tour

Marrakech Artisan Day 

Learn about the traditional trades in the Marrakech souks and get to try them. Throughout the experience, you’ll enjoy stories while honing your own craftsmanship skills. 

Start the tour by preparing your meal with a dish that was born in the souks of Marrakech. It will cook while you head to the artisan shops. Stop at three different artisan craft shops where you learn about the crafts and take your turn trying them too. The stops could include Zellige tile, Zaouak Painting, Plaster Carving, Metalworking, or Leatherwork.

End the tour by eating the food you prepared on a rooftop with a drink.

Setti Fatma 

A village settled in a canyon in the Atlas Mountains, Setti Fatma attracts tourists to this small village with its restaurants on the river side and hiking the seven waterfalls. With a local guide, walk as far as you can or want up through the pass to the waterfalls. Morning walk with lunch by the river before returning to your hotel in Marrakech.

Leave the hustle and the bustle of Marrakech and head to the coastal town of Essaouira. With its lively cafes and street musicians, imaginative up-cycled trash, and relaxed medina shopping, those of you wanting a more chilled Marrakech experience with an added sandy beach, Essaouira will not disappoint. 

Depart at 9am for a 2.5-hour drive. Free day to explore Essaouira.  Leave at 4pm, back in your hotel in Marrakech around 6.30pm.

Ait Ben Haddou

Drive across the dramatic Tizi n'Tichka pass in the Atlas Mountains. Take a guided tour of the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. Enjoy lunch on a terrace with amazing views of the Kasbah.

Early morning pick up from your hotel in Marrakech and travel through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tichka pass (2260m), the highest road passing in Morocco.  It offers panoramic views of the snow-capped High Atlas Mountains and the magnificent landscapes.  

Visit the extraordinary Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO world heritage protected site built on a hilltop and featured in many movies such as Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. 

Get a wonderful view of the entire valley from the top of a hill and admire the typical clay architecture of the historic settlement. Get 2 hours to explore the village and enjoy a meal on a terrace with clear views of the Kasbah. The views from the upper heights are awe inspiring and worth the required climb through the winding and narrow streets.  After lunch in Ait Ben Haddou village, we will drive back to Marrakech and arrive by 7pm.
