Baha and Elen are a couple who met in the Sahara back in October, 2014. Baha, a Berber from Merzouga has been taking tourists around the desert with his brothers since his early teens. He has a breadth of knowledge on travel in Morocco from the deserts to the beaches, hiking in the mountains, cycling along the coasts, city breaks and family trips!

Elen, originally from Wales and spent the majority of her adult life in Ibiza helped set up Kaouki Tours back in October 2015 where they both decided to create a new life together in the surf village of Sidi Kaouki, near the coastal town of Essaouira. Taking the name Kaouki, who was a 19th century marabout (a Muslim religious teacher), the bespoke Moroccan travel company, Kaouki Tours was born. Elen is a qualified primary school teacher, who is currently teaching at the British Academy School Marrakech. Helping families organise trips with their kids comes second nature to Elen!

 

Moving on to 2022,  with Baha’s love for his culture and knowledge of Morocco, he has found his passion for organising tours. Together, Elen and Baha take every detail into consideration, making Kaouki Tours into a successful reality.
