one night under the stars in a Berber tent in the red sand dunes, camp fire and music.

a camel ride through the magnificent red sand dunes of Erg Chebbi.

a traditional Berber breakfast and a traditional Moroccan dinner served daily. (vegetarian and vegan options available, please advise when booking).

Further Information
Day 1
Arrive in the village of Hassilibed and enjoy a walk through the tranquil village oasis towards the breathtaking red sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Relax by the pool in the afternoon at your hotel.

Day 2
Arrive in the village of La Canterra de los Fosiles. Meet your ride and drive across the desert plains on the back of a motorbike towards the oasis of Saf Saf. Spend the first night sleeping with a Nomad family in their traditional Berber tent in a secluded spot with their goats. Stop at the local mine for a mint tea break and visit the fossil mountain before reaching the camp before sunset . Help prepare the couscous for dinner and sit around the warm fire taking in the starry night.
Day 3
Wake up early to help with the shepherd and his goats before he sets off for the day. After breakfast mount the bikes and ride into the oasis of Saf Saf. Explore the beauty of the oasis before preparing a traditional Berber pizza and bake it in the sand. Walk up rose mountains and collect rose fossiles. Spend the evening relaxing and sleep in a house outside the village of La Canterra de los Fosiles.

Day 3
After breakfast, put on your walking shoes and walk a short distance to the nearby fossil mountain. This is where the majority of the fossils are discovered and taken in blocks to nearby workshops to be cleaned and made into objects to sell. Following from here, take a leisurely walk towards the village of La Cantera de los Fosiles where the women will be busy preparing their bread and tajines for the day. Make your own bread and bake it in the village oven ready to enjoy with your tajin cooked in the family home. Explore the village, visit the homes where traditional looms are set up and rugs and jiabas are being woven. Sleep in a house outside the village of La Cantera de los Fosiles.

Day 4
Early start. Take a 4X4 journey across the desert towards the breathtaking red sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Dance to Gnaoua music in the village of Khemlia, see the prehistoric cave paintings in Taouz, Shop for a turban in Merzouga before heading back to Hassilbed to enjoy a camel ride over the enormous red sand dunes to the camp. Spend the night in traditional Berber tents in the dunes, eat a delicious dinner and let the Berber boys entertain you with their tales and music around a warm fire. (there is an option to sleep in a luxury camp. Private tents with ensuite bathroom and hot water. Single occupancy is an extra 120€, shared accomodation is an extra 90€)

Day 5
Enjoy the early morning sunrise, the calmness and tranquility of the sand dunes. When ready, return back to Hassilbed on camelback. Breakfast is served upon return at the hotel. Visit the town of Rissani. A busy town with a souk full of traders. A great time to haggle for that perfect rug! Spices galore and all sorts of natural remedies to cure your ailments! Visit the ancient kasbahs before returning to your riad in Hassilibed.

Day 6
Walk through the village of Hassilibed and into the red sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, walk along the dunes until you reach Cafe Sahara Experience, a secluded little Berber restaurant amongst the sand dunes. After lunch explore the dunes on quads. Sleep in the riad in Hassilibed.

Day 7
A free morning to relax or take a walk into the beautiful gardens of Hassilbed. Mid morning, leave Erg Chebbi and head towards Hannobou, a little oasis outside Erfoud where all the dates are grown. Take a visit to Erfoud and the dates market. here you can buy the best medjoul dates! Sleep in an auberge outside Erfoud.

Day 8
Leave the desert through Tinghir. Visit Todra Gorge before heading on to sleep in the mountains in Boumalne Dades.
Day 9
After breakfast, drive a short drive through Berber villages and monkey finger rocks towards Dades Gorge. Great photo opportunities before continuing with the adventure towards the UNESCO heritage site, Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. An ancient kasbah used for many a film over the years. Walk over the stepping stones to cross the river and explore the kasbah. Stay the night in a hotel in Ait Ben Haddou.

After breakfast, departure.
